Organisational resilience and business continuity can always seem rather theoretical until an organisation is challenged. The current pandemic has reinforced the need for good business continuity planning to ensure that we can respond effectively to threats and ensure that we have the resilience in the organisation to continue operation.
This role will provide the coordination, management and operational expertise to ensure that the University has the structures, skills and systems in place to provide that organisation resilience.
This is an important management and coordination role which will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and professional services across the organisation. It will require strategic planning skills, the ability to work across a wide variety of service functions and the operational flexibility to guide the University through the response to incidents. In this role you will advise senior staff, take a full part in planning and emergency response and be key to the ongoing effectiveness of the institution. Your ability to influence senior managers to embed resilience planning into their operations will be key to success.
This role offers an opportunity to develop business continuity skills in a really practical sense. You will need to be proactive and able to build relationships, but having built those relationships, you will find the University to be a rewarding and fulfilling place to work with a community dedicated to delivering a high class educational experience to students at all levels, from all backgrounds.
